The 2012 ORSA Summer Outreach Program was hosted by Ashland University on August 1st. There were a total of 50 participants from a variety of institutions. First time attendees included Notre Dame College and Lourdes University. Other schools in attendance included Ashland University, Cleveland State University, Heidelberg University, Oberlin College, Youngstown State University, Kent State University, Ohio University, University of Cincinnati, The Ohio State University, and Xavier.
Participants were able to network with other professionals and students by attending mini-sessions on student development, personal branding, area specific roundtables, and a small college roundtable. Tours of Ashland University’s Recreation Center were also provided to those in attendance.
ORSA Scholarships were awarded to Melissa Toretch (Ohio University), Betsy Bruce (Oberlin College), Tasha Westfall (Ohio University) and Chaz Calloway (University of Cincinnati). Additional prizes were awarded to Laura Thomas (Ohio University) and Jessica Walsh (Cleveland State University).
